Albino nelsoni milk
snakes make great pets because they are colubrids and tend to stay on the small side. My
adult male is less than 5 feet and feeds on small rats. As babies these snakes have awesome
coloration, and keep that coloration into adult hood. Because of their size they don’t
require a lot of space. The only real requirement is to make sure they are kept at least
at 70-75 degrees. I keep all 5 of mine at this temp and have never had a problem with any
of them. Next to corns these are great “beginner” snakes that will always be a favorite in
my collection. This female is from Napa Valley Snakes.
Corn
snakes have been labeled as “beginner snakes”, which is true for the most part. Once again
a colubrid so if you are looking for a “smaller” these guys are perfect. As adults these
guys can live in a 20 gallon long aquarium and be pretty happy. They seem to do well at
room temp and don’t require a lot of additional heat. Corns come in a variety of colors
and patterns. Check out serpenco.com or southmountainreptiles.com for some great pictures
and brief descriptions of different colors and morphs. There is a color of corn for every
person out there! This is a normal colored corn that is from Serpwidgets.com/cornsnakes.
This
is another corn, but is an anery A motley. She was the first snake I ever ordered online.
She has been the “perfect” snake and has grown like a weed. She will be bred this year to
the amel motley down the page. So I “should” have amel motley het anery A babies this
coming summer for sale. She is also from Serpwidgets.com/cornsnakes.
This albino nelsoni is an 02 and is also from Napa Valley Snakes. She is gaining weight
nicely and should be ready to breed in a few years. Please see above for a more detailed
explanation of the albino nelsoni milk snake.
This albino nelsoni is also a 02 female from Isis Reptiles. Her reds are very bright and
oh so vivid. She also has been a great addition and I’m sure she will be here for a long
time. Did I mention they were a favorite of mine?
Here we have a 03 male Anery A Bloodred corn snake from southmountainreptiles.com. The
bloodred gene is something that has really grown to be one of my favorite genes in the
corn world. And this guy’s pattern is great to see in person as well!
Once again here
is my Anery A female motley showing her nice pattern. I just can’t help to take pictures
of such a wonderful snake!
Here is my
02 female snow motley stripe corn snake. She is very tough to photograph because of the
intense white she has. And those red eyes are piercing. I should have babies from her as
well this coming season. Her mate is down the page a bit.
Here is a
male Hypo motley stripe corn. Did I mention there is a color corn for everyone out there?
He is still on the small side for a 02, but he is getting bigger by the day and will
someday be a very nice breeder
Here is my breeder male albino nelsoni. He is in shed in this picture but he still looks very nice! Also from Napa Valley Snakes.
Here is the
breeder snow motley stripe corn snake. If you are unfamiliar with the different morphs
of corns please check out serpwidgets.com/cornsnake there you’ll find out all sorts of
genetics about the corn.
Here is my male
amel motley corn. He will be bred to the female anery motley up the page. He is from
cornworld.com and has been a great addition and will be for years to come!
Western hognose. Talk about a cool little snake. These guys require
nothing more than a secure tank and some bedding and a water dish. These guys “can” be
tough as babies to get eating unscented food but once they do, they are awesome pets!
